PRESENTING:
-----PYSCRYPTION-----
A Python project based on Daniel Mullins' Inscryption: Kaycee's Mod
Hello!
Have you ever...
1) Wondered how Kaycee's mod would look if it was made on the style of a good ol' CMD programme?
2) Wanted to try out those cool Inscryption projects but they all require you have friends?
3) Wanted to get Inscryption but you're broke and living in a third-world country with your parents not allowing you to use their credit card online?
Well, if that's the case, I have you covered, my friend!
PyScryption v0.1 is an early prototype for a Python version of Kaycee's mod!
- Wait, you mean Pygame?
No, I mean Python. Literally.
Yes, this project will run on your CMD.
But let's go back to the important part.
----ADDED FEATURES----
Or in other words, what makes this thing any different from Kaycee's Mod.
1) EXTRA CARDS...EXTRA SIGILS!
Grimora was kind enough to lend you some of her cards this time around! Some ACT II favorites like Bone Heap and Tomb Robber make a comeback to fight like any other regular beast!
Not only that, but some new animals joined in on the fight! (Most if not all of them, based on u/IxamS8's awesome ideas, which I took as a base).
2) SKELETON SIDE DECK!
Are you done with sacrificing your own creatures? Well then! Let them die instead with this Side Deck based on Act II! You might want to pick a Lammergeier while you're at it.
3) REVAMPED STARTER DECKS!
Would you like to start off with the bigger, meanest predator of the seas? Or how about an actual Curious Egg deck without a plural on the 'Egg', and an Hydra that does lose its head? I even made something for Red Hart of all things! Or a lot of tentacles if you feel like it.
You don't like any of those decks, still?
Then make your own!
This game lets you try it out with your own custom starter deck! No strings attached!
You want to try playing with The Moon? The Limoncello? 2011X? Go for it! They work just FINE! Don't let the screen tell you otherwise...
4) CUSTOM CARD SUPPORT!
You still don't like any of the cards?
Don't worry!
I also made a built-in Custom Card Creator into this game, which will allow you to make any card you want and have it inside the game!
While the editor is kind of slow, once you're done, you can edit the file as many times you want to create something more!
You can give your cards ANY SIGIL, ANY TRAIT, ANY SPECIAL CARD BEHAVIOR (Note, TalkingCardChooser and SatisfiesRingTrial have no use currently), and ANY other other thing that I cannot think of right now! How about that?
So...do we have a deal?
Will you shake a poor sinner's hand and play my game?
If your answer is yes, then...
Let them Sacrifices be Made.
(P.S: Everything I made and added to the game is out of admiration and respect for the original authors, and should any of them want anything in this project removed, I will gladly do so.)
(P.S. 2: As this is a Prototype to test the idea, ALL THE CONTENT is unlocked from the start, unlike Kaycee's Mod. In that sense, it's not really a roguelite, but more of a proof-of-concept, or a way to just enjoy what would be Kaycee's Mod by yourself. Also, this game is centered around the card game itself, which does mean no cabin puzzles.)
UPDATE: So, I fixed some bugs...
1) Cards on the deck now DON'T get lost if stolen by the Angler and not killed before its second phase.
2) Fixed the Angler's targeting of the latest card you played (seriously, the Angler was the source of many bugs before and even AFTER the upload).
3) Skinning Knife can now be properly bought.
4) QOL: Added a little more UI when trading pelts with the Trader.

Note: Once the .zip file downloads, and you extract its contents, running the game should be as easy as clicking the direct access on the main folder. Should this fail, you can also enter the dist folder, and open the .py file directly, although this might require that your computer has Python installed.
