A Tower Defense Game, with 2 Towers

Ok so this is a demo to test an idea that Mailchan gave me. The link to the prototype is at the end of the article. Anyway, here's the story:

A while ago, I was working on a clone of Plants Vs. Zombies 1 from Popcap, and while it all seemed good enough, there were some bugs with the game that made me have to keep working on it. Mailchan, the main bug-tester, helped me find a major bug in that game, which allowed you to place a plant above another one, saving space. Of course, PvZ is all about space, so it wasn't intentional there, but, could that be a good thing?

More than 2 Towers is a prototype to test it out. In the game, you only got two troops, a scout, and a soldier, along with some general upgrades. However, the game itself allows combinations between the towers, which for the moment, are quite limited, as it is a test to prove the potential of the idea. To get its full potential, I decided to take time on balancing the upgrades for the towers, since I found pretty boring the idea of just having the same tower being more powerful, and wanted some variety. Scout + Soldier gives the scout a faster firerate, while Soldier + Scout gives the soldier stronger bullets, and mixing the same troop will give you an essentially best version of the first troop.

Now that I think about it, that mechanic I first mentioned actually seems pretty recycled for me. There's lots of mobile games where you get a single unit to do something, and mixing that type with the same type gives you a stronger unit of the kind. That's not what I wanted to do, and, in that way, I think that's what makes my game different. It's a prototype only, not even a full game, maybe not even something enjoyable for more than 5 minutes, but it's my attempt to re-imagine an overused boring type of Tower Defense Game. I really like playing them a lot when I was younger, and it just makes me kinda sad that most of the ones produced now are just bad clones of gems such as PvZ. You might not like this game if you expect a finished product (as, you should, after all, it's me who wants your attention, not the other way around). But if you give it a try, I would love you to tell me how much potential you see on this idea. I already got some plans for a third tower (probably a mortar or turret) that would be included in the game I would continue to develop if I get to learn coding in Unity.

If you read all that, thanks for your time. Since I use Construct 2, I sadly couldn't experiment more with that mechanic or even create a boss fight since I ran out of events, which is a reason of why I want to learn to code.

Anyway, here goes nothing:
